The CAT5 Video Display System (VDS) broadcasts high-resolution video over CAT5 cable to multiple display stations in real time. Now you can broadcast all your critical information directly to the public, keeping everyone informed. And thanks to the system’s thin CAT5 cabling, you can place the remote display stations up to 110m/360ft away from the source.Since the CAT5 VDS is a pure hardware solution it provides real time screen transfer without loss of screen quality. Broadcast the source screen at high video resolution – up to 1600×1200@75Hz (depending on cables length). An ideal solution for a wide range of multi-screen applications, the VDS can be used to give realtime data updates at airports, train/bus stations, stock exchanges, etc.; to broadcast entertainment or advertisements in stores, restaurants, etc., and for multiple location security monitoring. The VDS is also a powerful presentation tool in computer classrooms and training environments and a great alternative to expensive projectors. In the classroom the VDS can perform two important training functions with a simple 2-button controller; send a teacher’s screen to all remote monitors or darken all remote monitors to gain students’ undivided attention.
High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is the future for HDTV, as it enables only one cable to deliver both high-definition video and multi-channel, digital audio to digital display devices such as DTVs, plasma displays, LCD TVs and projectors. HDMI also enables an all-digital connection between digital source devices, such as DVD players, DVD recorders, digital set-top boxes, D-VHS players and A/V receivers. HDMI is a new digital interface that was specifically created for use on consumer AV products. It enables intelligent, two-way communication between digital source and digital display devices, which means you need only one remote control for your entire system. Furthermore, it will automatically find and set component compatibility and play music and movies in your system’s optimum available formats. HDMI is backward compatible with DVI, with the only loss being the new features added by HDMI, such as the multi-channel, digital audio, and the benefits of two-way communication between devices. PureAV HDMI to HDMI Cables and HDMI to DVI cables deliver the highest quality digital audio and hi-definition video using silver-plated conductors, quad-shielding, and precision-formulated dielectric material.
