Extreme Short Throw Lens for Tight Spaces While traditional projectors with standard lenses require about two feet of distance between the projector and screen for every foot of screen size, the TDP-ET10U’s short throw lens requires less distance between the two, so you can fit a bigger screen in a smaller space. For instance, this projector will produce a 9-1/2-foot picture size with just 5-1/4 feet between the projector and the projector screen. For added versatility, Toshiba designed this projector to operate in either 16:9 widescreen or 4:3 standard screen formats. The simple flip of a switch allows you to easily change formats. Exceptional Picture Quality and Dolby Digital Surround Sound The TDP-ET10U features a host of technological features to bring exceptional picture quality to your home theater. With up to 720p or 1080i resolution, a high 1,500:1 contrast ratio, and 16.7 million colors, the projector offers stellar, high-definition picture quality for watching action movies, sports, and more. And with its built-in Silicon Optix deinterlacer and Hollywood Quality Video (HQV) technology, it will automatically up-scale your DVDs for overall better picture quality, especially for movies with a lot of fast-moving action sequences. HQV represents the most advanced deinterlacing technology available, and it works by improving the picture quality without the loss of any sharpness or detail. Sound is equally impressive. The TDP-ET10U’s 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound capabilities allows you to connect it to your existing surround sound setup for movie theater-style sound quality. The powerful projector lamp produces 1,100 ANSI-lumens for exceptional brightness, and the 230-watt lamp can be switched to ECO mode (200 watts) for added lifespan and lower energy costs. The maximum lamp life is rated for 2,000 hours but can be extended up to 3,000 hours in ECO mode. Fast and Easy Installation Configuration is easy thanks to the projector’s easy-to-find inputs/outputs, which are conveniently located on the front panel. Each is labeled for quick and easy installation. Input options include RGB (D-Sub 15), composite video (RCA), S-Video, component video, audio (mini jack), digital coaxial, and HDMI input; outputs include audio (mini jack), and digital coaxial. Mount the projector to the ceiling or simply place it on a flat surface for use. The Toshiba TDP-ET10U measures 13.54 x 6.1 x 12.68 inches (WxHxD) and weighs 10.58 pounds.
